What do we want to learn about you?

Your Technology – Which programming language do you use? Are there multiple languages? Is the work web based, application based, embedded or mobile?

The Process

Stage 1 – Requirements

We make it our business to come and meet our clients, wherever you are. We are passionate about what we do – so it’s absolutely vital to us that we understand what you are building. How do your software/applications/products work? What is its main purpose? What technology facilitates this? These are the kind of things we want to find out. This allows us to compare our candidates’ skills and question them on the types of problems they will have to solve, in order to find out how relevant their experience is.

Stage 2 -Design

Next, we build a profile of your ideal candidate. We look at everything, from technical experience to personality, from industrial experience to hobbies and interests. Some clients require candidates to live, breathe and sleep programming. Others will need them to have good interpersonal, business and consulting skills.

Some clients even need candidates to have good bowling or go karting skills for team nights out!

Stage 3 -Implementation

We then shortlist a number of suitable candidates and interview them for between 40 minutes to an hour. Utilising our wealth of experience in software and web recruitment, we know how to investigate candidates’ contributions and responsibilities in development projects.

We build a detailed picture of exactly what they did in a number of projects. We look closely at what they contributed, what challenges they faced, and how they solved those challenges. We ask how big their teams were, what ranking they have in that team, and what that equates to in responsibilities.We ask how often they participate in meetings, and their input, how often they meet clients (if at all), and we go through all your requirements in-depth, requesting detailed proof in each.

In short, we are incredibly thorough. Only the cream of the crop will meet you.

Stage 4 -Testing & Validation

Here’s the test – we put our selected shortlist of candidates over to you, and you select the interviewees.

Stage 5 -Deployment

After the legwork has taken place to your satisfaction (including technical and psychometric tests), we make an offer of employment to the candidate of your choice. We ensure that both candidate and client are happy with the terms and conditions of the offer, and manage the process until they have been released from their current employment and are ready to join.

Stage 6 -Maintenance

We keep in touch with you to ensure that things have gone to plan. If some areas of performance need improving, we can try and bug fix them too. We take pride in providing an honest, genuine and helpful service.

At Auburn Rose, we work differently. Our team comprises of consultants who listen; not only to understand what makes you tick, but how we can work with you. Our Process

Stage 1 -Requirements

This is the first and the most important time we make contact with you. It is our goal to find out all about you, the candidate. We don’t stop at your technical experience or your salary expectations.

We really want to get to know you. We want to understand your motivations. We want to discuss your aspirations. You are a candidate, but more importantly you are a personality.

It’s not about having a conversation to fill out a form; it’s about understanding you.

Stage 2 -Design

We talk you through some profiles of companies we think you will be suited for. Since we spend 70% of our time at work, it’s fair to say that as well as the role; the company itself, the team, the culture and future prospects are all equally important.

We’ll also give you advice on your CV. We know our clients inside out: what catches their eye and what goes unnoticed. We will suggest improvements to get your CV to the top of the pile.

Stage 3 -Implementation

We agree what positions you want to progress with, and submit your CV to the prospective employer.

At the interview stage, we will have a preparation session with you. We want to make sure you are well-informed about every possible line of questioning. This way, your chances of landing the position are improved.

Stage 4 -Testing & Validation

The interview stages. Here you meet the prospective employer, sell yourself as best you can and see if the role is really right for you.

Stage 5 -Deployment

After the interviews, we take a consultative approach with our candidates. Whether you’ve had multiple job interviews and can’t make up your mind, or you’ve had the one interview and want to take it, we’re here to listen. Wherever you are at, we act as a sounding board; share with us your thoughts and we will help you compare it to your original requirements.

We only want the best for you and are here for you every step of the way.

Stage 6 -Maintenance

Once you’ve accepted a role, we catch up with you to ensure you are settled in.
